First Real Post
hey folks,
Hope you are all doing well, i am doing splendidly. i have been here about ten days i think and i have started my new job as the Assistant Programme Administrator here at Kandersteg INternational Scout Centre in Switzerland. My job basically entails of putting together activity plans for guests pror to their arrival and during there stay here at the centre, in addition there are a bunch of other small tasks that i do every once in a while.
Over the last couple of days we have had like a foot and a half feet of snow fall, its been unbelievable. i Think im going to have a white Christmas this year, something that has been illusive to calgary for as long as i can remember. I went x country skiing yesterday afternoon on my day off and it was amazing, a bit icey and wet in places but it was still sweet.
I have been trainning for the last week, learning about all of the procedurers of the centre aswell as the intricacies of my job. Its been quite intense and i have 2 more weeks worth of it, next week ive go first aid and some other small sessions. FOllowing next week the new short term staff arrive and i do more training with them since i have not been here before as an worker. Basically i have to learn everything.
Aywho enough of that, my daily work schedule is pretty sweet and ins in fine Swiss form. 8:00 Start, 10:00 coffee break, 12:00-14:00 lunch (yeah 2 hours), 4:00 coffee break, and then dinner at 6:00. Very Excelant
I hope that this is a good start to this blog, hopefully my posts wont all be this dry but well see how it goes, Tumblr has a lot of cool little features which i intend on trying out. So keep checking back every once in while and ill try and keep my posts as regular as possible.
